In Tracy’s private practice, she counsels individuals, couples, and families dealing with stress, anxiety, addictions, grief, and depression. Tracy’s professional experience has focused on working with victims of trauma and domestic violence. In addition, Tracy has a great deal of experience working with adolescents and educating the public on healthy relationships and healthy communication. Tracy enjoys spending time with her husband of twenty five years and daughter.
Growing up in the Dallas Metroplex, Tracy always knew she wanted to work to help others. As an adolescent, Tracy volunteered during her junior and senior years as a peer counselor to fellow teens. This experience was so significant to Tracy, that she decided she wanted to be a professional counselor. Tracy received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology and her Masters’ degree in Counseling, both from the University of North Texas.
Tracy Newton completed her school internship at an area domestic violence agency. Tracy then went on to work as an Adult Women’s Counselor and a Managing Director. Tracy has received substance abuse recovery training at an area substance abuse recovery center. Tracy has developed and implemented a Teen Dating Violence Program and Bullying Prevention Program at several schools in the DFW area.
Tracy and her family moved to McKinney in 2004 and began her private practice at New Hope Counseling Center.
